Your role

Hydryx is expanding across Europe, and every market has its own rules, relationships, and rhythm. That's where you come in. Based in your region (France, Germany, UK, Spain, Italy or Poland), you know the market because you're from it. You speak the language, you know who matters, and you know how business actually gets done there. You take our proposition and make it land locally: the right people, the right message, the right moment.

Who you'll sell to

Your customers are the landfill owners and operators in your country: municipalities, public waste authorities, and large waste companies. These are relationship markets. Deals move through trust, tenders, and formal procurement, and cycles take months, not weeks. You'll often be the only Hydryx face in the room, carrying long conversations toward multi-year contracts. If that sounds slow, this isn't your market. If it sounds like the kind of deal worth winning, keep reading.

Who we are

At Hydryx, we're turning landfills into climate solutions. Landfills are one of the biggest blind spots in climate tech: they leak methane, one of the most potent greenhouse gases, into the atmosphere for decades. We think that's fixable. Founded in 2023, we've gone from idea to commercial deployments across multiple European countries, partnering with forward-thinking landfill operators who want to modernize the industry.

We replace outdated, manual infrastructure with fully automated systems. Our platform combines on-site sensors, real-time monitoring, and an AI-driven control algorithm to capture more gas, reduce emissions, and generate clean power. The entire stack is built in-house (hardware, software, cloud) and installed directly in the field. No assumptions, no black boxes.

And honestly, the fact that this sector isn't "sexy" is exactly why it's so interesting to us. It's overlooked, underserved and full of low-hanging climate wins. We're based in Amsterdam, scaling fast and hiring. If you want to work on real-world climate problems, ones you can see, touch and fix, come build with us.

Responsibilities

  • Be Hydryx's face in your market: build our reputation, lead high-level commercial conversations, and act as the trusted local point of contact for customers, partners, and prospects

  • Build long-term relationships with landfill owners, operators and service providers

  • Own the full sales cycle in your region, from first meeting to signed contract, in the landfill and waste-to-energy sector

  • Land and expand at strategic customers: win the first deal, then grow the relationship site by site

  • Hit and own your country's commercial targets

Who you are

  • Based in France, Germany, the UK, Spain, Italy or Poland (or convince us on a different region)

  • Native or fluent in the local language, professional fluency in English

  • 5+ years in B2B sales or business development in a relevant industry, with a track record of closing

  • A genuine local network: customers, partners, and industry contacts you can activate from day one

  • At home in long, tender-driven sales cycles with public and industrial buyers: you know how procurement works in your country

  • A natural relationship builder: people take your call, and they call you back

  • Comfortable operating solo in your market while staying tightly connected to HQ

  • Experience selling technical or industrial solutions is a strong plus; a market entry or territory built from scratch even more so

What we offer

  • Work that matters. You'll build systems that capture landfill methane, turn it into energy, and cut one of the world's biggest climate problems down to size. Real tech, deployed in the real world

  • Your market, your mandate. You run your region with real autonomy, backed by a team in Amsterdam you'll regularly join in person, because collaboration happens fastest in the same room

  • Upside that's real. We offer a competitive salary, growth opportunities, and meaningful stock options, because if we win, you should share in the value created

  • Ownership from day one. The learning curve is steep, the feedback is direct, and we'll throw as much responsibility at you as you can handle. If you have a good idea, test it. If it works, we'll scale it

  • Good times included. From free daily healthy lunches and Friday beers to team dinners and a ski trip in February, we work hard, but we also make time to celebrate the ride together

If you're excited by opening a market, closing deals that stick, and helping solve one of the world's most overlooked climate challenges, we'd love to meet you!
