Your mission

QuantWare is the world's leading manufacturer of superconducting quantum hardware. We are a high growth start-up with a global customer base. Our mission is to accelerate the advent of the quantum computer.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Program Manager to join our R&D team. This is a fast-paced and evolving role that requires a leader capable of navigating deeply technical complexity and driving impactful results. If you’re excited about helping QuantWare define the future of quantum computing and thrive in a dynamic, innovative environment, we’d love to hear from you!

The impact of the role

As a Technical Program Manager on the R&D team at QuantWare, you’ll take on a dynamic role that combines project leadership, people management, and strategic guidance. Because R&D work is inherently unpredictable, you’ll also be adept at spotting potential roadblocks early. You have mitigations ready, achieving a fast path towards results. Your program is central to QuantWare's roadmap, mission and therefore success.

In addition to managing projects, you’ll lead multiple teams, focusing on their growth, performance, and overall happiness. You’ll create an environment where team members can excel, while staying ahead of potential challenges to keep everyone aligned and productive.

In the first year you will:

  • Lead overall program strategy and execution, overseeing timelines, resource division and risk management to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Shape and refine a pivotal portion of our R&D roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and readiness for successful execution.

  • Lead multiple teams and foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, taking a proactive, hands-on approach to challenges.

What are we offering?

An exciting position within an ambitious and innovative team and being part of the future of Quantum Computing;

  • A fast-paced environment where you can excel and be the best version of yourself;

  • A place in a high performing team that is on a mission to change the world

  • We believe in giving and taking ownership. We will provide you with a scale-up environment where you can shape your own role and receive a lot of responsibility;

  • Great benefits: good pension scheme, open vacation policy, the choice between a public transport business card or travel allowance, indoor & Outdoor team-activities, and life in the Netherlands;

Your profile

While we understand the perfect candidate might not exist, if you check most of the boxes below, we’d love to hear from you:

  • At least 5 years in Project Management in high-tech or R&D-driven industries, preferably at a scale-up

  • Background in Physics or a related engineering field

  • Semiconductor R&D, microwave and/or electrical engineering or quantum device engineering experience are a plus
