As Technical Project Lead, you will lead and coordinate technical work across several research and development projects focused on developing scalable and high-quality quantum devices.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Drive Project Progress

    • Identify and manage the critical path across R&D projects

    • Prioritise and sequence tasks based on impact and dependencies

    • Ensure the team moves forward in a focused and efficient manner

  • Develop and Execute Experimental Strategy

    • Design and plan experiments

    • Define hypotheses and expected outcomes

    • Determine what experiments to run and why

    • Design Hamiltonians for experimental devices

  • Analyse and interpret results

    • Document and analyse experimental data

    • Represent findings with appropriate data visualisation

    • Interpret results and determine next experimental steps

    • Communicate outcomes and implications to internal stakeholders

  • Coordinate Cross-Functional Efforts

    • Work closely with design, fabrication, and measurement team members

    • Ensure R&D cycle is coherent and efficient

    • Balance scientific rigor with pragmatic progress

    • Maintain alignment with broader project and organisational goals

  • Anticipate and Manage Uncertainty

    • Identify technical risks and bottlenecks early

    • Plan for potential failure modes and contingencies

    • Adapt experimental strategies dynamically based on new information

Your Profile

  • 4+ years working in experimental physics with superconducting qubits

  • Experience with the R&D full cycle: design → fabrication → measurement

  • Hands-on, practical, and focused on getting good results

  • Comfortable taking initiative and guiding others when needed

  • Lucid thinker, good communicator and influencer, pro-active/pragmatic and willing to push for decisions when a direction is needed
