Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Pricing & Supplier Specialist to join our Procurement team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our pricing strategies by collaborating with global suppliers to ensure cost efficiency, competitive pricing, and profitable margins. Your expertise will drive our ability to deliver value to clients while maintaining strong relationships with international partners.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Strategy Development
- Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies for global markets, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
- Analyze client feedback, competitor pricing and other factors to optimise pricing models.
Supplier Collaboration & Management
- Establish direct supplier relationship in key markets to enhance price competitiveness
- Negotiate pricing and service SLAs and terms with global suppliers to achieve cost savings and secure favourable agreements.
- Conduct regular reviews of supplier delivery performance, cost structures, and quality metrics.
- Monitor currency exchange rates and international trade regulations to account for their impact on pricing.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Perform margin analysis, cost forecasting, and profitability assessments for products and services.
- Use data visualisation tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, or Power BI) to present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Track and report key pricing performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2-3+ years of experience in pricing, procurement, or a similar role, preferably in e-commerce scale-up or global trade.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and great attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience working with international suppliers.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships across cultures and functions.
- Familiarity with international trade regulations, tariffs, and currency exchange impacts is a plus.
