Your role
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with a strong background in AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for automating infrastructure, optimizing deployment workflows, ensuring system reliability, and driving cost efficiency across our cloud environments. You will work closely with development teams to support microservices-based architectures and implement best practices for scalability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure using AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Route53, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, including deployment strategies, scaling, and resource management.
- Build and maintain Docker images and container orchestration workflows for application environments.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.) to streamline build, test, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with software engineers to design, deploy, and maintain microservices-based systems.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability using modern observability tools and dashboards.
- Implement and manage DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, and load balancers for secure and efficient routing.
- Perform database management tasks (backup, restore, performance tuning, scaling, and cost optimization).
- Lead initiatives for infrastructure improvements, automation, and cost savings across cloud environments.
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Ensure security, compliance, and reliability in production systems through proactive monitoring and best practices.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response when necessary.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure role.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services (especially EKS, EC2, SQS, RDS, and VPC).
- Strong expertise with Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker in production environments.
- Proven experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
- Experience managing databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) in the cloud.
- Familiarity with DNS management, SSL/TLS certificates, and reverse proxies/load balancers (e.g., Nginx, ALB).
- Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed system design.
- Experience with infrastructure automation and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong focus on monitoring, logging, and performance optimization (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with deploying and maintaining PHP/Laravel applications
- Experience with cost monitoring tools (AWS Cost Explorer, CloudHealth, etc.).
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO27001, etc.).
- Exposure to GitOps workflows using tools like ArgoCD or FluxCD.
- Familiarity with serverless and event-driven architectures.
- Prior experience working in Agile or DevSecOps environments.
